Protecting Your Account

At WaveTrade, security is our top priority. Protecting your trading account and personal information is essential when engaging in the financial markets.

Protecting Your Account

How to Keep Your WaveTrade Account Secure Online security threats are evolving, and staying vigilant is key to protecting your account from unauthorized access and cyber scams.
The trading hours for all currency pairs are 00:01 server time to 23:59 server time daily (23:57 on Friday), whereas for Gold, it is 01:02 server time to 23:57.   You will also be able to view the Trading Hours from within your MetaTrader trading terminal by following the process outlined below.

1. Strengthen Your Password Security

Your password is the first line of defense for your trading account. Follow these guidelines:

  • Swaps are applied only when positions are kept open until the next forex trading day.
  • Use a long, complex password with a mix of uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Avoid personal information such as birthdates, addresses, or account numbers.
  • Change your password regularly and never reuse old passwords.
  • Do not share your password with anyone.

WaveTrade will never ask for your login details via email, phone, or social media.

2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer to your account by requiring a second step (such as an authentication app or SMS code) when logging in.

  • This helps protect your account even if someone gains access to your password.
  • Always enable 2FA in your account settings to maximize security.
3. Be Cautious of Phishing & Scam Attempts

Cybercriminals often use phishing emails, fake websites, and social engineering to trick users into providing sensitive information.

  • Verify email senders before clicking on links or downloading attachments.
  • Beware of fake investment opportunities promising guaranteed profits—WaveTrade will never make unrealistic promises.
  • If an email, phone call, or message feels suspicious, do not engage. Report it immediately to our support team.
4. Only Use the Official WaveTrade Website & Apps

Scammers often create fake trading websites to steal login credentials.

  • Always check the URL before logging in: www.WaveTrade.com
  • Do not enter credentials on websites that look suspicious or lack proper security certificates.
  • Download WaveTrade trading apps only from official sources like the App Store or Google Play.
